Raymond Joseph Wagner

Raymond "Joe" Joseph Wagner, 83, passed away on September 25, 2020 at his home in Crestline, surrounded by his family.

Joe was born in Freeport, PA on November 21, 1936 to Clarence and Bertha (Hilliard) Wagner. He married Marion "Mary" Ridley on July 12, 1958; she survives in Crestline.

Joe served his country honorably in the United States Army during the Korean War. He would work as a maintenance man for General Motors for 30 years before retiring. Joe was a member of the Galion Masonic Lodge #414 and the Crestline VFW Post #2920. He was a man who enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, fishing, and camping. When he was able Joe enjoyed traveling with his wife Mary. He was a longtime member of Mansfield Sovereign Grace Baptist Church.

In addition to his wife, Joe is survived by his sons; Robert (Lori) Wagner of Crestline; William Wagner of Ontario; Edward (Amy) Wagner of Shelby; and Michael (Stacey) Wagner of Crestline ; sister Evelyn Wagner of Ford City, PA.; numerous grand and great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Joe was preceded in death by his siblings; Herbert Wagner, Mildred Fennell, and Nellie Wagner.

Friends may call on Wednesday, September 30, 2020 from 12:00pm to 2:00pm at Schneider-Gompf Funeral Home, Crestline. Funeral services will be held immediately following at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Crestline where military honors will be rendered by the U.S. Army and the Crestline-Galion Veteran’s Military Funeral Detail.

In accordance with the Governor’s mandate, masks will be required to enter the funeral home.
