Richard Dale Kreps, 69, of Dublin passed away on Sunday, July 19, 2020 in Worthington after a long, courageous battle with cancer.
Rich was born on April 5, 1951, in Galion to the late Virgil and Margaret (Krichbaum) Kreps. On June 13, 1975, Rich married his loving wife Linda M. (Stalvey) Kreps, she survives in Dublin.
Rich retired as a C & N Machinist. In retirement he worked at Sears selling tool. He enjoyed helping his customers. Rich was of the Lutheran faith. He was a huge OSU fan. Rich enjoyed playing cards with his family, especially Pinochle. He enjoyed playing golf and researching genealogy. Most of all, Rich enjoyed spending time with his family and dogs.
In addition to his wife, Richard’s memories will be cherished by his daughters, Jamie Kreps, Columbus, and Leslie (Eddie) Moyer, Mt. Vernon; grandchildren, Gavin and Aidan Dale Moyer; sister, Jean Newton, Newark; and niece, Barb Blade, and her children, Corey Blade, and Chelsey Blade.
In addition to his parents, Richard was preceded in death by his infant sister, Maxine Kreps, and brother, Lloyd Kreps.
Due to the pandemic and the concern for the health of others, the family will hold a private service. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery.
Pelotonia is a bicycle ride to raise money for cancer research. Rich’s daughter participates in the ride and memorial contributions may be made in his name to Pelotonia.org/JamieKreps.
