Richard Ralph Ruhl

Richard (Dick) Ralph Ruhl, 77, of Crestline passed away on Saturday, September 5, 2020 at Brookdale of Mount Vernon in Mount Vernon, Ohio.

Dick was born in Crestline, on March 18, 1943 to the late Ralph and Marie (Minich) Ruhl. On April 20, 1969 he married his wife Paula (Emmer), and she survives him in Lexington, Ohio.

Dick was a graduate of The Ohio State University where he obtained his bachelor’s degree in Finance. He served in the United States Marine Corps from 1966 to 1968. He worked in Plant Accounting for GM in Ontario and retired after 34 years.

Dick loved attending Ohio State football games and was a season ticket holder for over 50 years. He also enjoyed serving on the Miss Ohio Board, and as a deacon and elder at the Calvary United Church of Christ, in Crestline, Ohio.

Dick loved making trips to Longboat Key, Florida, and Colorado to ski. He also cherished spending time with his dog, Taz.

Left to cherish his memories are his wife Paula and his sister, Jane Kindinger of Crestline, as well as other family members.

A memorial service will be held at the Calvary United Church of Christ in Crestline on Monday, September 28, 2020 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Diane Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Crestline, Ohio.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Calvary United Church of Christ, in care of the funeral  home.

As mandated by Governor DeWine, face coverings and social distancing will be encouraged.
