Robert Wayne Middaugh, 56, of Galion was called home on Friday, October 20, 2023, at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center.
On April 28, 1967, Robert was born in Galion to the late John Middaugh and Mary Ann (Kimbler) Middaugh who survives in Galion.
Robert was a proud 1984 graduate of Galion High School, where he ran track throughout his school years. He worked many years for Just Plastics in Galion, and most recently for Halls Sanitation.
In his younger years, Robert was a Boy Scout, and that's where he learned many of life's valuable lessons. Robert enjoyed spending his free time with his fishing line in the water, or working tediously on his model cars, and most recently a model Titanic. A man of many hobbies, Robert also enjoyed collecting knives and hats.
Music was one of Robert's greatest passions, he loved playing the drums, and singing in his church's praise band. If he wasn't playing or singing music, Robert could be found jamming to country or gospel music, especially one of his favorites, Garth Brooks.
Robert had a heart of gold, always willing to go the extra mile for those in need, especially giving the best care for his mother Mary Ann through the years.
In addition to his mother, left to cherish Robert's memories are his aunts and uncles: Willa Royster of London, Violet Royster of New Carlisle, Paul Middaugh of Caledonia, and Frank Middaugh of Marion; close friends: Steve Hall of Galion, Shawn Balliett of Galion and, Buddy (Sharon) Walters of Galion and numerous cousins.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 27, 2023, at 2:00pm at Fairview Cemetery with close friend, Elder Buddy Walters officiating.
Memorial contributions can be made to the funeral home to aid the family with funeral expenses.
