Ronnie "Ron" Bayard Webb

Ron "Bayard" Webb, 82, of Galion passed away on Sunday, December 4, 2022 at Avita Health System - Galion Hospital.

Ron was born in Enterprise, Kentucky on September 22, 1940, to the late W. Curtis Webb and Ruth E. (Leadingham) Webb. He married Lois VanBuren on May 12, 1973.

Ron worked for 24 years at ITT North of Galion. He then went on to work for another 12 years with his wife as a telephone equipment installer. He was a member of the American Legion Scarborough Post #243, Galion and the Loyal Order of Moose #303 Galion. Ron enjoyed being in the outdoors gardening, fishing and mushroom hunting. He was a man of many words and absolutely took after his grandfather with all his story telling. Ron was a family man and always cherished spending time with all his family.

In addition to his wife, Lois; Ron is survived by son, Doyal (Jeannette) Webb of Dunedin, Florida; stepdaughter, Jackie Jeffries of Galion; grandchildren, Andrew (Lauren) Webb and Michaela (Adam) Chesson; great-grandchildren, Hazel, Clementine, Mercy, Clover, Holt; sister, Brenda Jones; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents, W. Curtis and Ruth Webb; son; Jortis Webb and siblings, Keith Webb, Claudette Evans.

Friends may call on Thursday, December 08, 2022 from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM at Schneider-Gompf Funeral Home, 303 Portland Way North, Galion. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 pm on Thursday, December 8, 2022, at Schneider-Gompf Funeral Home, Galion, Ohio with Bishop Linda VanBuren officiating. Burial will follow in Iberia Cemetery.
