Sandra Ann Frankhouse, 72, of Mt. Gilead passed away on Monday, November 1, 2021 at Avita Health System Galion Hospital after an extended illness.
Sandra was born in Port Huron, Michigan on November 27, 1948 to the late Darrell W. and Jocelyn A. (Whitman) Lent. She married Gary L. Frankhouse Sr. on December 27, 1969 and he survives her.
Sandra graduated from Adrian High School, Class of 1966. She went on to further her education at Central Michigan and Ashland University where she received her Bachelor's Degree in Education and Accounting. Gary and Sandra came to Galion in 1977 to explore their entrepreneurial spirit and founded Prints and Paints, known today as My Floors. She went on to earn her Certified Public Accountant License and worked as Chief Financial Officer at Peco II and later retired from Mansfield Business Technology. She attended Crossroads Church. She enjoyed being in the outdoors and especially on the water at Lake Erie boating. Sandra's number one priority was her grandchildren and never missed attending and supporting each of their extracurricular activities. Sandra loved working but especially enjoyed being around people, where she knew no stranger. She was an avid animal lover of all kinds, but especially loved her dog, Harley.
In addition to her husband Gary Sr., Sandra is survived by her sons, Gary (Holly) Frankhouse Jr. of Galion, Steve (Liz) Frankhouse of Ontario; seven grandchildren, Alexa Frankhouse, Wilson Frankhouse, Walker Frankhouse, Aiden Frankhouse, Carson Frankhouse, Quinton Frankhouse, Lilja Frankhouse; three sisters, Jennifer Lopez, Katie Lent, Fran Lent, all of Arizona.
Sandra was preceded in death by her parents, Darrell and Jocelyn Lent, and a sister, Mary Weekley.
Friends may call on Saturday, November 13, 2021 from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at the Schneider-Gompf Funeral Home, 303 Portland Way North, Galion where the memorial service will follow at 3:00 pm with family friend, Wes Tomlinson officiating, assisted by Deering Dyer.
