Loving mother and grandmother, Sonja Daphane Fuller, 75, of Galion, went home to be with the Lord December 27th, 2020, after a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s disease. She was born January 9th, 1945 to the late Edward and Virginia Fuller. She graduated from Buckeye Central High School in 1963 and enjoyed various jobs throughout her life, including compassionately taking care of others as a home health aide.
Sonja was an avid gardener and enjoyed all things plants and animals. She rarely left home without her lipstick and was always ordering new “pretties” from the QVC home shopping network. Her grandchildren were her world and they will hold dear the many priceless memories made at Nanny’s house. Sonja knew no stranger and was a caring friend to all.
Those who will cherish her memory include daughters Tina (Keith) Paylor of Crestview, Florida and Theresa (Jan) Waterer of Galion Ohio; granddaughters Brittaney Pack, Jenna (Josh) Hubbard, and Alexis Waterer; great grandson Pierson Pack; siblings Vickie Fuller of Weirsdale Florida, Roger (Linda) Fuller of Shelby Ohio, and John (Abbie) Fuller of Mansfield, Ohio, along with several nieces, nephews, and friends.
She was preceded in death by sister Connie Maynard.
Friends may call Thursday, December 31st, 2020 from 10:00am to 12:00pm at the Schneider-Gompf Funeral Home, 303 Portland Way North, Galion where funeral services will follow with Pastor Joe Stafford officiating. Burial will follow at the Oakland Cemetery in Shelby.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to either the Crawford County Humane Society or Alzheimer's Association in care of the funeral home.
