Susan "Sue" Virginia (Bashline) Rudd

Susan "Sue" Virginia Rudd, age 75, was reunited with her beloved husband Rushel Rudd on June 30, 2026, at her home in Crestline. She was born on June 28, 1951, in Port Allegany, Pennsylvania, and spent her life devoted to her family.

On July 26, 1969, Sue married Rushel Rudd, with whom she shared 42 beautiful years until his passing on November 12, 2011.

Sue was a devoted member of the Freewill Baptist Church of Bucyrus, where she found joy and comfort in her faith. She enjoyed various hobbies, including playing bingo, doing puzzles, knitting, crocheting, and crafting. A true family woman, she found immense happiness in spending time with her grandchildren and caring for her family. She will be remembered for her loving nature and her fondness for her beloved cat, Missy.

Sue was a cherished mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She is survived by her son, Todd (Chantea) Rudd of Crestline; daughters, Elaine Hefner and Janel (Ronnie) Loftis, both of Crestline; grandchildren, Alicia Rudd, Ron (Megan) Hefner, Sierra (Hunter) Hefner, Jacob (Cheyenne) Rudd, and Gavin Loftis; and great-grandchildren, Ryleigh Rudd, Brantley Fletcher, Houston Harney, Demery Finnegan, Winnie Finnegan, Mason Hefner, and Wrenleigh Hefner. She is also survived by her brothers, David Bashline, of Bucyrus and Denny Bashline, of Crestline and her sister, Linda Chillari, of New Jersey.

In addition to her parents and loving husband, Sue was preceded by her sister, Amy Sherwood.

Family and friends may call on Friday, July 3, 2026, starting at 11:00 AM until funeral services at 1:00 PM at Gompf Funeral Service - Crestline Chapel, 223 West Main St., Crestline, with Pastor Lyle Arnett officiating. Burial will immediately follow at Crawford County Memory Gardens.
