Tammy Jo Crawford

Tammy Jo Crawford, 60, of Norton, peacefully left this world on September 18, 2024. She was born in Crestline on September 23, 1963, to Phillip and Elizabeth "Betty" (Tesso) Atzinger. She married Randy Crawford on August 1, 1992, and he preceded her in death on July 26, 2012.

A graduate of Crestline High School, Class of 1981, Tammy went on to become a co-owner of Hometown Markets. She also lent her talents as a photo editor at Lifetouch. A faithful member of both St. Joseph Catholic Church in Crestline and St. Augustine Catholic Church in Barberton.

Tammy's passions for nature and creativity were apparent to all who knew her. She found joy in gardening, camping at Lake Erie, sitting on the beach for hours, and scouring the shorelines for sea glass. Her talent for crocheting and photography brought beauty into the lives of those around her. Tammy's love for her three labrador retrievers was immeasurable, and she found peace and contentment in their company.

She was a cherished member of the community and a beloved mother to Allison (J.D.) Butrick, of Norton, Andy Atzinger of Akron, stepdaughter, Ryan Ramsey of Gaffney, SC, grandmother to, Brooklynn & Logan Butrick, and step-grandchildren, Rowen & Reign Ramsey. Tammy will be dearly missed by her loving father Phillip Atzinger, her mother Elizabeth "Betty" (Tesso) Atzinger, her brother Michael Atzinger, her sister Annette (Tim) Swearingen, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and all who knew her.

In addition to her husband Randy, Tammy was preceded in death by her sister-in-law, Kelley Atzinger.

Friends and family may call on Sunday, September 22, 2024, from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm at the Schneider-Gompf Funeral Home, 223 W. Main St., Crestline. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, September 23, 2024, at 10:30 AM, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 333 North Thoman St., Crestline, with Father Jeff Smith, Celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Crestline.
