Thomas Martin Harley, 87, of Crestline, passed away on September 25, 2021, at Magnolia Terrace, Galion, Ohio.

Tom was born in Crestline on November 11, 1933, to the late Clarence and Gladies (McClain) Harley. He married Janet (Yerkey) Harley on September 15, 1956, and she preceded him in death on August 29, 2009.

Tom graduated from Crestline High School, Class of 1951. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Marines from 1953 to 1956 and was in the Marine Reserves for an addition five years. Tom was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Crestline. He was a life-time member of American Legion Post #488 in Crestline and served as a past Post Commander. He was employed at General Motors in welder maintenance and retired after 38 years of service. After retirement he worked as a maintenance man at St. Joseph Catholic School in Crestline. Tom enjoyed auto racing, especially NASCAR. His most cherished moments were spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren at sporting events. He assisted coaching with cross-country and track. Anyone living in Crestline knew that if you were behind a pickup truck with the license plate, "TOM H", you were driving behind Tom Harley.

Tom is survived by his two sons; Sean (Sue) Harley; Steve Harley; four grandchildren; Jason Harley, Jack Harley, Caitlin Harley, Spencer Harley and four great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his four sisters: Norene Carr,
Patricia "Pat" McFarland, Rosemary Heiby, Ruth Harley, and his two brothers, Donald Harley, and Jack Harley who died in World War II.
