Tristen "Monty" Montgomery Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Tristen James "Monty" Montgomery, age 17 of Crestline, on Saturday, September 7, 2024, after a courageous battle with type 1 diabetes. He was born on January 13, 2007, to James Montgomery and the late Emily (Fulk) Montgomery in Galion, Ohio.

Monty was fondly known as a jokester and a kind, generous soul. He attended Crestline High School and attended services at Grace Baptist Church. He enjoyed basketball, football, and soccer, and he was an avid Xbox gamer. He liked his music loud, and he had a love of chocolate that was unmatched. His favorite snacks were Reese's Cups and gummy bears.

He loved spending time with his friends and family, and he will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his father, James Montgomery of Auburn, Indiana; his grandparents, Leslie and Sandra Fulk of Crestline; his brother, Jayce Montgomery; his aunts and uncles, Leslie (Jeff) Kern of Jackson Springs, North Carolina, Shelly (Jason) Dixon of Galion, Amy Martin of Toledo, Sandy Fulk of Galion, Sarah (Justin) Storms of Crestline, Laura Mosier of Galion, Tammy Palm of Hawaii, and Alissa Fulk of Bellville; special cousin, Gwenyth Jezik; girlfriend, Grace Dailey; his dear friends Tryston Issac, Rylee Ferrell, and Shawna Riddlebaugh; and numerous great-aunts and -uncles, cousins, and close friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Emily Montgomery and his aunt, Angela Fulk.
