Zachary Wilcox Obituary

Zachary Taylor Wilcox, 21, of Galion passed away unexpectedly on Monday, April 27, 2020, at the Galion Hospital.

Zachary was born in Galion, Ohio on August 19, 1998, to Ryan L. Mason and Brooke L. Wilcox.

Zachary worked at Vanderkooi Rubbish with his grandpa and uncles until it was sold. He enjoyed camping, hunting and fishing. Zachary was a "Gearhead" and loved tinkering with anything he could get his hands on, and he could fix anything. He loved motorcycle racing and enjoyed running around on his 4-wheelers. Zachary had a positive attitude and was always the life of any party. He was a kid at heart and loved playing with his sisters and kids. Family meant everything to Zach. He was an avid lover of all animals. When you saw that very mischievous grin that Zach had, you just knew that he loved you. Zach had a great love of all music. When he woke in the morning he was singing and when he went to bed he was singing.

In addition to his parents, Zachary is survived by his fiancé, LaChelle Clark; his children, Jasmyne Roub (7 years); Makynlee Wilcox (3 years), twins, Anyah Wilcox and Ahlayja Wilcox (1 year); his sisters, Shylee Mason (11 years), Kaylea Mason (9 years); his aunts and uncles, Ira Vanderkooi, Isaac (Courtney) Vanderkooi, Skye (Gage) Vanderkooi, Danny (Kristie) Mason, Joshua (Katlin) Mason; Kimberle (Frank) Strong, LaShonda (Ray) Clark, Wendy (Pre) Barnett-Nead; very special great-aunt, Wendy (Harold) Young; mother-in-law, LaRonda Clark; father-in-law, Jayson Bright; sister-in-laws, Kendra (Zach) Briggs, Whitney Briggs; brother-in-law, Hayden Nead; his cousins, Noah Vanderkooi, Kingston Kitts, Delilah Vanderkooi, Gunnar Vanderkooi; his maternal grandparents, Chuck (Melanie) Vanderkooi; his paternal great-grandparents, Janice (Michael) Windbigler; and his paternal great-grandfather, Richard Johnston.

Zachary was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Richard (Lea) Mason and great-grandmother, Lois Johnston; his maternal great-grandparents, George “Bud” Vanderkooi and Norma Vanderkooi; and his maternal great-grandparents, Melvin (Barbara) Wilcox.
