Gene L. Gompf, C.F.S.P
Gene L. Gompf completed his education at the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science in 1985. After serving his apprenticeship under his father, Robert Gompf, he received his license as both a funeral director and embalmer in May 1986. In January 2013, Gene was awarded the designation of Certified Funeral Service Practitioner (C.F.S.P), by the Academy of Professional Funeral Service Practice.
Gene is active in the community. He is a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, a Lions Club member, serves on the Hospice of Morrow County Board of Directors, Morrow County Chamber of Commerce and serves on the Morrow County Hospital Ethics Committee to name a few. All of these activities are in addition to being the dedicated father of five children and 6 grandchildren.
LeAnne S. Gompf
LeAnne S. Gompf received her Funeral Director’s license in November 1990. She served her two year apprenticeship under her father-in-law, Robert Gompf and her husband, Gene. LeAnne is active in her local church, is part of the Worship team and currently serves as vice-chair for the Morrow County Chamber of Commerce board. She is the mother of 5 children and she is enjoying her role as Nana to 6 grandchildren.
Gene and LeAnne purchased the business in October 2016.
Christy A. Linton - Advanced Funeral Planner Licensed Funeral Director & Embalmer
Christy Linton was born and raised in Galion and graduated from Galion High School in 1996. Christy attended Heidelberg College and is a 1999 graduate of the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science. She is a licensed funeral director and embalmer and served her apprenticeship with Mark A. Schneider Funeral Home. Christy is the Advanced Funeral Planner and a part of the Continued Care Program at the funeral home. Our Continued Care Program is designed to help families in the days following their loved one's service. She is a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Galion, and has served on the Parish Council. She is a member of Kiwanis International in Galion. Christy is married to her husband, Wesley, and they have two German Shepherds. In her free time, Christy enjoys reading, exercising, boating, and deer hunting with her husband, Wes.
Ed Wirick - Advanced Funeral Planner Licensed Funeral Director & Embalmer
Ed Wirick was born and raised in Crestline and graduated from Crestline High School. He attended the Ohio State Mansfield Branch and was a 1999 graduate of the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science. He served his apprenticeship at the Mark A. Schneider Funeral Home.
Ed has been a lifelong member of St. Joseph Catholic Church of Crestline. He is also a member of the Crestline Kiwanis Club, Crestline Lions Club, and Knights of Columbus MSG, Leo W. Frye Council #2642, Crestline. He has served on the Crestline Civil Service Commission as well.
Ed is excited to be back at the funeral home and to serve the communities of Crestline and Galion.
